2008/JLS/147 Proposal for a directive on the conditions of entry and residence of seasonal workers: The proposal aims at establishing common entry and residence conditions for seasonal workers from third-countries. It is part of a comprehensive package of measures, proposed in the Policy Plan on Legal Migration of 2005 and further developed in the Communication on circular migration and migration partnerships of 2007. A more specific objective is to ensure a secure legal status and a reinforced protection against exploitation to a particularly weak category of third-country workers, such as seasonal workers. Another objective concerns the development of the circular migration policy.

2010/DEV/004 Relations with ACP countries: The decision could be a) an extension of the current article 96 decision which is going to expire on the 20th of February b) if the article 8 political dialogue proceed successfully the article 96 decision in place will have to be modified (after the consultation with Zimbabwe)

2008/JLS/129 Proposal for a Regulation establishing a table of travel documents of third country nationals for the purpose of visa issuance and the crossing of borders: The current Table of Travel documents was drawn up in 1998 and based on SCH/Com-ex (98) 57. The purpose of this exercise is twofold: to bring the Table of Travel documents into the Community legislative framework and to update its structure and enhance harmonisation in order to make this a practical and comprehensive instrument that is also user-friendly for practitioners (border guards and consular staff).

2009/JLS/007 Council Regulation on export import and transit licensing or authorization systems for Firearms, their parts and components and ammunition: The implementation of Art. 10 of the UN Firearms Protocol is part of COM ongoing work aimed at transposing the provisions of the UN Firearms Protocol falling under Community competence into EC legislation. It is necessary to establish at European level a coherent and an as much as possible harmonised regime for importation/exportation and transit of firearms. International commitment for the European Community to  conclude (ratify) on behalf of the European Community the Protocol against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, their Parts and Components and Ammunition supplementing the UN Convention Against Transnational Organised Crime (UNTOC), signed on 16 January 2002

2009/JLS/059 Proposal for a directive on the procedures regulating the entry into, the temporary stay and residence of Intra-Corporate Transferees (ICT): This scheme will set out common procedures to regulate the entry into, temporary stay and residence in the EU of ICT, in those fields which are not covered by the GATS negotiations.
